Jigawa APC assures President Buhari of 2 million votes in 2019

Members of the All Progressive Congress ‎(APC) in Jigawa state have held a rally to celebrate the return of President Muhammadu Buhari from medical vacation.

The party members also promised two million votes for President Buhari if contests in 2019. The Tribune in a report on Thursday, August 31, stated that thousands of party members, mostly youths from the 27 local government areas of the state converged at the Buhari organisation office in the state capital to celebrate the president’s return.

The state’s party chairman, Alhaji Ado Sani Kiri, who addressed the elated crowd, stated that Jigawa has no presidential candidate besides President Buhari come 2019.

The party members also gathered at the state government house where they were received by the deputy governor, Barrister Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, state’s party (APC) chairman, Alhaji Ado Sani Kiri, and acting speaker of the house of Assembly, Hon. Ahmed Maikudi.

The deputy governor commended President Buhari for the way he was governing the country despite the effects of the economic recession. Barrister Hadejia promised work with the people Jigawa ‎state in implementing the APC manifesto. Meanwhile, supporters of President Buhari in Gombe state stormed the streets on Wednesday, August 30, to celebrate the president's return from medical vacation.

The Sun reported that the rally started from state secretariat of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in the early hours of Wednesday.
